Menorah: Dnipro’s Jewish memorial and community center

The Menorah complex brings together seven towers, the Museum of the Jewish People and the Holocaust in Ukraine, cultural venues, hotels and Jewish community infrastructure in Dnipro’s historic Jewish quarter.

The Holocaust Memorial Complex with the Menorah multifunctional center stands in Dnipro’s historic Jewish quarter. It forms one architectural ensemble with the Golden Rose Central Synagogue and other buildings connected with Jewish community life. Menorah consists of seven towers, whose arrangement symbolically recalls a seven-branched menorah. The tallest tower is 77 meters high. A Gallery links the first floors of the center. Its design refers to old Katerynoslav, with wall openings shaped like facades of notable Jewish buildings that once housed charitable and spiritual institutions. Marble and Jerusalem stone are used in the interior decoration. Part of the complex is occupied by the Museum “Memory of the Jewish People and the Holocaust in Ukraine.” It includes a permanent exhibition, exhibitions presented by other museums and departments devoted to historical research. Menorah also contains the Sinai Hall, a 342-seat venue equipped for conferences, performances, film screenings and theatrical productions. The complex includes MENORAH HOTEL and the 7Days city hotel. The adjacent Menorah Grand Palace provides additional event halls.
